An Umbilical Cord to Our Alma Mater!

As a blogger who also happens to be the President of the CSU SM Alumni Association, I happen to be a long time president and parent of a school child as well. We do not have a regular newspaper to carry the information about the school, the progress it is making, the various plans afoot to grow and above all to bring the students, parents, staff and alumni together, except for a school paper that comes out infrequently and also for very limited circulation.

So what can we do to get informed, and get involved? This blog is the answer and is intended just to serve that purpose of bringing all the stakeholders together all through the years. Although the blog is brought out under the auspices of the alumni association, it is hoped that this will serve the larger purpose of disseminating useful information to all the interested readers.

There are many things we would like to share with you from time to time and seek your feedback on important issues. We may use this medium to seek your assistance also when a need arises. Equally you will be in a position through your valued comments to guide us for better functioning. More than all these, old students who have left the school and who retain a soft corner for this place where they were groomed as useful citizens would deem this blog as an umbilical cord. It would enable them to interact with their former teachers, class mates and also give them an opportunity if they so wish to return back in some form for what they received from the community.

This blog is under construction. Your suggestions for improvement are most welcome in the comment box provided for every post. ~Venelyn Gajudo-Bagasol, President, CSU SM Alumni Association~

  1. uhmm... is there anyway, if possible, to have the "From the CEO's Desk...." greetings appear only in the home page. annoying kasi pag in every page nakalagay siya.. comment lang po. not criticizing.
